Location of Milatos

Milatos is located beyond Sissi. The sleepy village itself is about 1 km from the coast. Paralia Milatos (or Milatos beach) is a very low key resort, possibly because it is quite far away from the main roads and also because there are almost no beaches.

Getting there is really best done by car on a small windy road passing through either Epano Sissi or south from Vrahassi or Neapoli. There is also a dirt road linking Sissi to Milatos beach.

Atmosphere: nice little fishing harbour with a number of good fish restaurants. If you like sleepy little places, this might be right for you. The antithesis of Malia and only a few miles away (if you were to travel in a straight line).

Accommodation: mainly self-catering studios and apartments

Shopping: very limited

Beach: a pebble beach a little to the East of the harbour as well as a tiny stretch of sandy beach right by the fishing harbour.
